Eleanor Pendleton Started Her Wedding Beauty Routine Two Years Out

"It was a lot of work"

When Gritty Pretty founder Eleanor Pendleton got married at the Shangri-La Resort in Boracay, Philippines, in April, every detail was considered: from the bride’s stunning Pallas couture gown to the Moet champagne station for guests.

Now, Pendleton has detailed her extensive pre-wedding beauty routine on her website. Her top tip? Start early.

Pendleton began her pre-wedding beauty prep two years before her big day (the perks of a long engagement), including growing out her hair (which she maintained care of weekly masks) and getting Invisalign so she could be sure of perfect teeth.

She had monthly facials from nine months out, then upped the ante to fortnightly facials from six months onwards. She saw Jocelyn Petroni for Omnilux red light therapy and “custom facials depending on my skin at that time – I had a lot of fruit enzyme peels, lactic acid, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin A and vitamin C,” she shares.

Throw the odd Sodashi facial into the mix, plus an intensive at-home regime, and that’s what it takes to get that Eleanor Pendleton wedding day glow.
