For those who have watched episode one of season eight already, Cersei’s comments about elephants might have tippled your interest. She seemed particularly upset that the Golden Company couldn’t transport the elephants she requested as part of the deal, which sees thousands of paid-for-hire soldiers enter King’s Landing to defend the city.
In fact, she seems so upset about the elephants that she mentions them more than once. “I wanted those elephants,” she says to Euron Greyjoy. Captain Strickland admitted the elephants were too heavy to transport on the ships, which makes sense, especially if she wanted all 24 of them — the reported number of elephants that the Golden Company have.
It’s information Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in the show, didn’t let slip by. A quick trip down memory lane and it becomes clear that Turner knew about the elephants all along — even going as far as to dress up for Halloween last year as an elephant. Stretch?
Considering Joe Jonas dressed as Sansa, it only makes sense that the pair went as a couple — we just didn’t know it yet. Turner was the missing elephants and Jonas was Sansa. The perfect inside joke-cum-couple’s Halloween outfit.
