Now, the family are moving back to Sydney. The seachange is ostensibly to send the kids to school but we wouldn’t be surprised if Marvel Studios moving their production headquarters to Sydney for five years also had something to do with it.
Chris is currently filming Marvel’s Thor: Love And Thunder at Sydney’s Fox Studios, part of the fourth phase of Marvel's expansive superhero universe. Based on the '80s-themed party photos, it looks like they're having an excellent time.
“It’s a whole new experience,” Elsa said of living in Sydney to shoot her upcoming film Interceptor (Chris is executive producing the action-flick). “We are loving being in the city and the kids will go to school here.”
Don’t worry though, their million-dollar mansion in Byron Bay won’t be lying empty. “I can’t dress down as much as I do in Byron Bay, [but] we hope to get back there on the weekends.”
The Spanish actress also noted that, while she loves her home country, a move back there is not quite on the cards. “They always ask me when I’ll come back to Spain,” she shared about her family.
“I tell them, one day. I do love Spain but love Australia so much, and to be able to work here is also amazing. Australians have adopted me and I feel loved by them—we have a similar sense of humour. All the Spanish people who come here love it.”
