Model and TV star Elyse Knowles has shared graphic images of her recovery after having surgery to remove a growth on her left eye.
The 26-year-old took to her Instagram stories to share the up-close videos of her “freaky” eyeball and spoke about undergoing the procedure.
“I had a growth taken off my eyeball yesterday,” she said while showing her bloodshot eye.
“I have always had red eyes … I look stoned right now. So I decided to get it off (because) it always got irritated by makeup.”
The Myer ambassador says that she believe modelling might be behind the abnormal growth.
“I swear the growth is from modelling,” she said, suggesting that staring into the sun and reflectors on set is to blame.
However, Knowles acknowledges that despite the gruesome situation she’s grateful to have two working eyes.
