The summer-ready hue is a multi-tonal medium blonde created by hairstylist Nikki Lee. "Instead of doing the typical bright blonde we went for a 'boho sunrise tone,'" Lee told Refinery 29.
Lee gave Emma’s longer locks - achieved instantly courtesy of a full head of hair extensions - an “undone and effortless" feel by placing highlights and lowlights throughout the hair - creating a natural lived-in colour.

Lee took all the necessary precautions with Emma to ward against blonde breakage. "With the help of Joico Blonde Life lightener and my go-to Olaplex, I was able to keep her hair in great condition," she explains.
