Just one year after Emma Stone reportedly welcomed her first child with husband, Dave McCary, she has decided to bid adieu to her La La Land home and head to Austin, Texas.
The Cruella star got herself a cool USD $4.3 million (approximately AUD $6.4 million) for her mid-century style abode that is nested in the Malibu hills in Los Angeles. According to Dirt, the ranch-style home has jaw-dropping ocean views, complete with a birds-eye perch above Las Tunas Beach.
The mother-to-one first purchased the home in 2018, reportedly paying around USD $3.3 million (approx. AUD $4.7 million) for the property. Stone’s Malibu home was originally built in 1958 and renovated by former owners, who had featured the estate in issues of Cottages & Gardens magazines, as per Dirt.
Prior to Stone‘s residency at the home, former owners remodelled the kitchen, adding in stone counters, stainless steel appliances and painted the room a creamy, white.
Now, the home looks essentially the same, with the addition of a blue front door that Stone reportedly added. The property also includes a large brick terrace overlooking the ocean and is home to native eucalyptus and yucca trees, with blue agave and jade.
As far as famous homes go, Stone’s abode isn’t as large as her peers’ abodes, clocking in at just under 1800 square feet (167 square metres). Boasting three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the home’s sports an open floor plan that is saturated in natural light, courtesy of floor-to-ceiling windows and an array of skylights.
The home’s two guest bedrooms share a single full bathroom, with the main bedroom getting a smaller ensuite to itself, as well as breathtaking ocean views.
