Though fans have been hoping for a reunion between Emma Stone and ex-boyfriend turned biggest fan Andrew Garfield, it appears the La La Land actress has a new love interest.
Over the past few weeks, rumours of a romance between Stone and Saturday Night Live writer and segment director Dave McCary have been swirling, after they were spotted together on multiple occasions this year.
Page Six notes that Stone hosted the SNL comedy sketch show last December where it’s likely the pair first met. Stone then attended the premiere of an indie film McCary directed in June, like the cute supportive maybe girlfriend she is.
She also appeared as a surprise guest this month for SNL‘s season premiere when her friend and La La Land co-star Ryan Gosling hosted, before attending the afterparty.
Stone hasn’t been romantically linked to anyone since she split from her The Amazing Spider-Man co-star Andrew Garfield in 2015. The pair dated for four years and rumours of a reconciliation were swirling earlier this year after Garfield told Vanity Fair: “I’m her biggest fan.”
“I’m constantly inspired by her work. I’m constantly inspired by how she handles and holds herself. So for me, I’ve – it’s been bliss to be able to watch her success and watch her bloom into the actress that she is,” he continued.
“And it’s also been wonderful to have that kind of support for each other. It’s nothing but a beautiful thing.”
