Emma Stone is already our imaginary BFF and she just proved that she really is just like us when she went to congratulate her La La Land co-star Damien Chazelle on his win for Best Screenplay at today’s Golden Globes.
In her excitement she went to hug Chazelle but cut right in between him and his date and it was just. so. awkward.

But like the pro she is, she laughed it off, saying “That was weird”.
Yep it was, so but it was so adorable that it just makes us love her more.
And we’re sure she’s not too hung up about it, considering she went on to pick up the award for Best Actress for her role in the film.
