Emma Watson Has A Pixie Cut Now And It’s Even More Chic Than Her Iconic 2010 ‘Do

Her long hair is no more.

Emma Watson has clearly been turning back time, after revealing a dramatic, pixie cut á la her 2010 post-Harry Potter persona.

On August 16, Italian fashion house Prada announced that they’d scouted the 32-year-old to be the new face of Prada Beauty, for their forthcoming, yet-to-be-revealed fragrance. Taking to Instagram, the designer brand shared a photo of Watson, shot by photographer Harley Weir, in a tangerine ensemble, with her hair styled into a spectacularly tousled pixie cut with a set of baby bangs, and donning a pair of logo earrings.

For her beauty look, the Little Women star’s base seemed rather untouched, complimented with rose-hued cheeks, slightly laminated brows, a nude lip and paired with a black, graphic winged liner that trails out of the inner and outer corners of her eyes.

“The British actor, activist, and artist embodies the essence of a multi-dimensional Prada Woman,” the brand wrote in the caption.

But back to the hair that fans can’t get enough of, the ‘do is cropped close to her head but cut slightly longer near her ears and the back. Resembling that of ’60s beauty icon, Twiggy, it’s also a nod to her iconic pixie cut that Watson donned back in 2010. This time around, her crop is more tousled, sporting more undone layers and with a modern, editorial twist.

When she first wore the cropped look back in 2010, she chose to cut off the majority of her hair after she had finished filming the Harry Potter movies to bid adieu to Hermione Granger once and for all. Since then, she has grown out her hair, yet kept her locks around shoulder-level with loose, soft layers. As for her new cut, it’s yet to be confirmed if the pixie ‘do is a wig or if she really said goodbye to her locks again.

Aside from serving as Prada’s muse for their latest fragrance, Watson is also set to make her directorial debut for a short film about the scent.

“Prada has always gone beyond traditional models and archetypes of conceived beauty and is famous for a femininity that challenges conventions,” Watson said in a press release, speaking to her new role with the Italian brand. “It’s a pleasure to create a campaign and represent a fragrance with such a profound philosophical concept and sustainability initiatives in a way that feels genuinely real and relevant.”

As for when you can smell just like Emma Watson, Prada’s new yet-to-be-named fragrance will be revealed on August 22, 2022.
