Emma Watson’s Huge Salary For Beauty And The Beast Has Been Revealed

But there's a catch...

Emma Watson’s portrayal of Belle in the live-action remake Beauty And The Beast is nothing short of magical. The Disney film will reportedly bring in $140 million (USD) at the box-office by Sunday evening after a successful opening weekend.

The film’s *huge* success will directly impact Watson’s earnings according to the The Hollywood Reporter. The publication claims the 26-year-old signed a ‘back-end deal’ which means she could make around $15 million if the movie makes $750 million (USD) globally. Emma reportedly earned $3 million (USD) upfront for the role.

While Emma’s male co-star’s salaries have not been made public, the actress has spoken out about the gender wage gap in Hollywood.

“We are not supposed to talk about money because people will think you’re ‘difficult’ or a ‘diva.’ But there’s a willingness now to be like, ‘Fine, call me a diva, call me a feminazi, call me difficult, call me a First World Feminist, call me whatever you want, it’s not going to stop be from trying to do the right thing,” Watson told Esquire.
