The Organic Skincare Products That Actually Work

Nature or nurture? You don’t have to choose - by Sherine Youssef

The Organic Skincare Products That Actually Work

As the lines between wellness and beauty become blurred, the rise of clean, natural and organic beauty has shifted from passing trend to a verified way of life. But what does it all mean? And can these products deliver real results?

Clean, natural and organic

When it comes to clean, natural and organic beauty products, what is left out of the formulation is just as important as what is put in, and it’s worth doing some research before you add to cart.

The term “natural” is not regulated, so any product can claim to be natural as long as the formula contains at least one extract of natural origins.

“Clean” beauty products are generally accepted to be those free from known toxins, such as parabens, phthalates and BHA, but may include synthetic ingredients that have been deemed safe and can benefit skin health (think hyaluronic acid and vitamin C).

Any product that wants to claim “organic” status is subject to strict regulation. Your best bet is to look for products stamped with a certification seal from an accredited agency - a sign that the formula is made from ingredients free from harmful pesticides, chemical fertiliser and GMOs.

Do they work?

There is a misconception that natural, organic or clean beauty products are not as efficacious as their traditional counterparts. While this may have been true of the green beauty products of yesterday, recent innovations – in everything from extraction methods and delivery systems to packaging – means the latest green skincare can compete with the big guns.

Take endota Organics, a range that allows you to nurture your skin in the way that only nature can, with results that are backed by science.

Most products are made in Australia with certified organic and natural ingredients, and every formula is clean and free from more than 50 contentious ingredients, including parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrances and dyes, mineral oils, sulphates, formaldehyde, talc and silicones.

If you’re thinking of cleaning up your beauty routine, start slowly with a basic product, such as body moisturiser. The endota Organics Nurture Moisture Rich Belly Butter is a must for people with sensitive skin, and pregnant women. This vegan, vitamin-rich moisturiser features a clean formula of nourishing rosehip and argan oils, plus hydrating shea and cocoa butters. But it doesn’t just feel luxurious – Nurture Moisture Rich Belly Butter was awarded the coveted Prix de marie claire Award for Best Body Product because it works, eases dryness and itchiness, and leaves skin feeling beautifully soft and supple.

With endota Organics, you don’t have to choose between nature and nurture – you really can have it all.
