Meghan Markle Has Already Described Her Dream Wedding Dress

She would look gorgeous in it

As the crescendo of excitement around Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement announcement settles down, the bride to be now faces the difficult decision of finding a wedding dress.

A dress, which will be seen by millions of people around the world, for years and years to come, that is.

Meghan’s choice of designer will be a difficult decision – what it will say about fashion, modern royalty and American/British relations? The British fashion press is predicting the 36-year-old’s dress will by Erdem.

The Canadian born, U.K. based designer is already a favourite of Markle’s: “Erdem is a designer I’ve been wearing for years,” she previously told Vanity Fair.

Sarah Burton, the master creator behind Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen dress said, “it had to be a dress of historical importance and one which had enough presence for Westminster Abbey, and yet it needed to be modest”.

On the subject of McQueen, it’s safe to say Meghan won’t wear the same designer as Kate, as not to draw comparisons.

Meghan previously shared her favourite celebrity wedding dress of all time was the minimalist style Carolyn Bessette wore when she tied the knot with John F. Kennedy Jr.

The timeless dress was designed by Narciso Rodriguez, for Calvin Klein and resembled a sexy slip.

Kensington Palace announced last night that Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding will take place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in May 2018, which means we only have to wait until then to see Meghan’s, sure to be stunning, dress.
