Weekly Fashion Digest: A Denim Throwback And A Natural-Born Collaboration

What's happening this week

Flashback denim

Denim favourites and iconic Australian jean-makers One Teaspoon have released their first ever foray into vintage cuts. Launching their first ever Vintage + Organics collection, the brand has released a capsule of denim and white T-shirts, best worn together for optimal nostalgic vibes. “We have trawled through vintage markets – London, LA and dug deep in Sydney to find new revolutionary cuts – The Smiths, Street Walkers, Bad Boys, The Preachers,” One Teaspoon’s Jamie Blakey says of the range. Adding to cart!

Gone swimming

Everybody’s favourite Aussie beach label, Zimmermann, has released their latest spring/summer swim campaign, celebrating everything we love about being barefoot and in the water. Complete with animal prints, dainty lace detailing and pretty florals, each and every piece has some of Zimmermann’s core identity and brand ethos — made especially for the hotter weather. Featuring everything from lazy summer day dresses to the perfect bikini, the collection is high on our wish lists.

Sustainable chic

Tigerlily has released a range of hand-stitched raffia shoes, individually crafted by artisans in Morocco from raffia palms in Madagascar. Taking two days to produce per pair, the Art Of Day Anja slides are the perfect antidote to boring outfits, and paired with a long summer dress or slip skirt are definitely a must-buy. Debuting at VAMFF this week, the shoes are now available to buy (in limited number) at select Tigerlily stores across Australia.

A new face

Bonds have announced their latest face of the brand, revealing model Andreja Pejic as the face of a new elevated underwear collection named ‘Intimately’. It is the first Australian campaign for Pejic, who has risen to fame as one of the biggest transgender models in the world. The campaign and collection — which is made up of elevated basics — is out now.

A genius idea

Moncler’s ‘Genius’ collaboration has continued with the release of the Simone Rocha-designed collection (pictured at top of story). Inspired by flowers, gardens and the world of nature, the collection sees the collision of two worlds: the practical and the fairy tale. Featuring Rocha’s signature pretty embellishments, feminine shapes and unexpected colour collisons, the Moncler capsule is everything we look for from the designer: feminine tailoring and airy silhouettes, all with a natural touch. We’re hooked!
