Nicole Kidman, Naomi Campbell & Kim Kardashian Dominate The Balenciaga Runway

Petitioning for Kidman to win another Oscar for this performance.

There’s an undeniable buzz in the air during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, but one particular show took that buzz and raised it 10 more. We are of course, talking about Balenciaga.

For its Autumn Winter 2022 presentation, the brand teased an all-star line up of models who would walk the famous Parisian runway on July 6. Curiosity and theories as to the identities of said models was at an all time high, and as the show kicked off, the grand reveal was nothing short of spectacular.

Walking down the runway in Balenciaga’s historic salon, celebrity icons Nicole Kidman, Kim Kardashian and Naomi Campbell lead the A-list pack after being tapped by the brand’s creative director Demna. Backing the powerful trio up was Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa, among others.

The designs popped as each model weaved through the rows. Kidman’s silver one-shoulder dress captured the light at every angle, while Kardashian’s form fitting black dress was as on brand as ever for the reality star.

Campbell’s look was perhaps one of the most dramatic. A stunning black design featuring a structured featuring a billowing skirt and structured chalice reaching her chin was nothing short of 18th century regal.

Hadid and Lipa popped in bright green and yellow dresses, while structured blazers, bejewelled dresses and a memorable fitted design covered entirely in large feathers also cemented the show as a highlight of Couture Fashion Week.

The front row was also just as star-studded as the runway: Kris Jenner and North and Saint West were front and centre to support Kim Kardashian. Euphoria star Alexa Demie also sat front row alongside Kidman’s husband Keith Urban. Emily Ratajkowski, Michelle Yeoh and Offset were also among attendees.

The show was undeniably one of Demna’s most memorable—an impressive feat given his last runway featured a 10-minute episode of The Simpsons, with each character wearing his creations in animated form.

Indeed, this designer truly knows how to put on a show.
