She was one of the original supermodels, and Christie Brinkley just proved why, gracing the pages of this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue at the age of 63.
Looking better than ever, Brinkley was joined by her two daughters Alexa Ray Joel, 31, and Sailor Brinkley Cook, 18.
“Yes! I am excited to announce that I am back in @si_swimsuit. I figured with my gorgeous daughters @alexarayjoel and @sailorbrinkleycook by my side whose [sic] going to be looking at me!” she captioned a pic of the trio’s shoot on Instagram.
“Oh and My kids think I walk on water, so let’s not mention the apple box concealed just under the surface,” she added.
The model says she wasn’t initially keen on the idea, but when the concept of posing with her daughters came up her couldn’t pass it up.
“My first thought was, ‘At my age? No way!'” she told People.
“But to get to do it with my girls, I thought, ‘One last go!'”
Brinkley made records when she graced the cover three years in a row from 1979 to 1981 and it seems the modeling gene runs in the family.
