The 2021 Fashion Awards are in full force and Britain’s best and brightest didn’t disappoint.
Taking to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London for the reveraliries, Billy Porter lead the celebrity style set in an ostentatious display of only the finest fashion on the red carpet.
Emerging designers, particularly Richard Quinn, had their time in the sun, worn by the likes of Elsa Hosk, Priyanka Chopra and Hailee Steinfeld.
Quinn’s signature latex designs and floral prints, which are lauded by Queen Elizabeth II, were definitely a standout.
Given that the Fashion Awards are returning to a physical format after a virtual presentation in 2020, glamour was the dress code, with the guests dialled up to a nine.

Between the incredible evening dresses (Gabrielle Union’s neon Valentino Couture was a highlight for us), and red carpet first timers (Romeo Beckham and his beau Mia Regan cemented themselves as *the* Gen-Z fashion supercouple), we couldn’t help but notice that old-school glamour is back in a big way.
We first noticed the trend at the Met Gala, with many an opera glove, satin gown and fitted bodice on display, but now, Alexa Chung, Demi Moore, Dua Lipa and more are pioneering for a full on resurgence of this look.
Chung and Moore recontextualised the classic opera glove, wearing a leather and lace version respectively. Suiting was definitely in the spotlight, with Paul Mescal, Tom Daley and Lily Allen showcasing the best of Saville Row tailoring.
