The first major red carpet event of 2021 is finally upon us! The 78th Annual Golden Globes have officially kicked off in Beverly Hills, with the annual ceremony being held both in-person and virtually.
Margot Robbie was among one of the first to arrive, looking stunning in head-to-toe Chanel. The Australian actress is one of the many presenters at the ceremony tonight, presenting the film Promising Young Woman, which she helped produce, starring Carey Mulligan.
This year three female directors were nominated in the Best Director category—the first time in the show’s history. Chloe Zhao for her work on Nomadland, Regina King for Night in Miami and Emerald Fennell for Promising Young Woman. Notably, Zhao became the first woman of Asian descent to be nominated in the category at the Golden Globes.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are the hosts for the evening, which is actually happening in two different locations. Tina will be attending from The Rainbow Room in New York and Amy from the Beverly Hilton in California.
