You might say that Jessica Chastain’s most defining feature is her brilliant red hair—which might be exactly why the actress has decided to change it for this year’s Met Gala.
Chastain arrived at the event in a floor-length black Gucci gown, black gloves, a long necklace and and to everyone’s surprise— platinum blonde hair.
Chastain wore her new ice blonde hair in a sleek side part with gentle waves, making a statement with a pair of Karl Lagerfeld inspired dark sunglasses to complete her look.
Beauty wise, Chastain kept things pretty simply with a peachy nude lip in place of her usual red, and a soft smoky eye in shades of grey.
While we’re not sure how long the star will keep her new hair after the Met Gala, Chastain will certainly find out whether blondes do have more fun.
