But, you needn’t look further than Australia’s local talent, boasting some of the most talented and spectacular designs of all. From classic, everyday pieces that complete your 9-to-5 ensemble to statement earrings that give your eveningwear that major pop, you should be making room in your wardrobes for these Aussie brands. 

Enesea

After crafting pieces for her own personal wear, Sydney-based jewellery designer Nikki Ehrlich began to notice an influx of women requesting custom pieces of their own—which led to the creation of Enesea in 2019. The designs, created out of Bondi, draw inspiration from the nearby elements, transforming classic materials and revising contemporary styles. The pieces are defined by a unique gold hardware mix and matched with shells, beads and semi-precious stones, and have captured the adoration of loyal customers worldwide, including the likes of Whitney Port and Florence Pugh.

Holly Ryan

Australian based jewellery designer Holly Ryan’s eponymous brand was established in 2010. At its core, the brand focuses on simplicity and wearability, with each piece being carefully considered to capture modern architecture, sculpture and conceptual art in a wearable way. Holly has always been passionate about sustainability too, sourcing recycled metals and ethical stones for her designs.

Heart Of Bone 

Founded in 2013 by Emma Abrahams, Heart of Bone is truly unique. The Australian jewellery brand has recently captured the eye of pop sensation Billie Eilish, who frequently wore the brand during her Australian tour. Abrahams works directly with Eilish to create custom jewellery pieces, including the iconic Bad Bunny Ring which was worn during the singers Coachella show. Emma Abrahams and Australian designer Toni Maticevski also launched their bespoke fine jewellery collaboration Heart of Bone x Maticevski at Maticevski’s Resort 2020 Couture Show in Paris earlier this year.

Natalie Marie Jewellery

Natalie Marie Jewellery was born out of a passion for beautiful objects, a natural appreciation for the handcrafted, and a desire to create. With a background in fashion and fine arts, goldsmith Natalie has created a label which has at its heart an ethos based on connection, sentiment and originality. The original pieces are created in her Sydney studio.

Founded in 2012 by Charlotte Blakeney, spirited jewellery label By Charlotte has quickly amassed a cult following. Inspired by Charlotte’s love of semi-precious stones, crystals, symbols and their deeper meanings the evolution of the brand has been a natural and organic progression. Derived from the word relic and Spanish term for a family heirloom, Reliqua’s designs are heavily vintage-inspired. Babyanything is a jewellery label designed and handmade by Lucie Ferguson in Sydney, Australia. Each piece made of precious metal and stones is made in the jewellery workshop at the Babyanything flagship store in Paddington. After graduating with a Fine Arts Degree in Jewellery and Object Design and years of industry experience Lucie wanted to do things her way. Each piece is handcrafted from precious metals, from bulky biker skulls to dainty keepsake heart rings.

Founded by Jackie Damelian, Australian jewellery label Jackie Mack Designs creates beautiful and lust-worthy pieces that embody the modern woman. From delicate earrings to large hoops, dainty ear cuffs and whimsical necklaces, the collections are both precious and wearable in equal measure.

Natasha Schweitzer

Since 1972, the Schweitzer family have been at the forefront of Australian jewellery design. Founded by then 16-year-old Marion Schweitzer, dreams of young-woman learning the art of a goldsmith and gemology in a male-dominated industry were almost impossible. Fast-forward to 2018, Marion’s daughters Natasha and Alexandra have reignited their mother’s dream by taking the brand to an international audience with cutting-edge designs and forward-thinking.

Kate & Kole is a Newcastle born and based boutique jewellery label that is Australian designed and made and was founded by two creatives — Madalynne Clifton and Sara Spence — who started the brand from a desire to create timeless, keepsake pieces that have been designed to be passed down to future generations to come. Kate & Kole’s designs are sophisticated and unique, and since launching, the brand has expanded into gemstones – like its horoscope collection titled ‘Born’, a bridal collection and most recently custom jewellery.
