Tiffany & Co. Becomes The First Luxury Jeweller To Offer Complete Transparency On The Journey Of Their Diamonds

From their origins to their craftsmanship

In a bold, pioneering move, Tiffany & Co. has become the first luxury jeweller to commit to sharing the complete craftsmanship journey of their diamonds.

Coming off the back of recent sustainability partnership with the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, this unprecedented step will see the esteemed jeweller offer total transparency in the traceability of their individually registered diamonds (0.18 carats or larger), disclosing where each stone is planned, prepared, cut, polished and set.

This move also follows the 2019 announcement that Tiffany would become the first global luxury jewellery to provide the provenance (region or countries of origin) of their diamonds as well. As part of the initiative, a diamond’s region or countries of origin, as well as each point along its craftsmanship journey, including grading and quality assurance, will be shared with Tiffany customers and printed on the Tiffany Diamond Certificate.

Unlike most global luxury jewellers, Tiffany & Co. owns and operates five of its own diamond polishing workshops, where over 1,500 artisans dedicate their skills to ensuring the stones are of the utmost quality.

With company-owned workshops in Belgium, Mauritius, Botswana, Vietnam and Cambodia, as well as a Tiffany Gemological Laboratory in New York and five jewellery manufacturing workshops in the North America, each ensure the brand’s singular commitment and vision to the well-being of the people and the planet.
