Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox And Lisa Kudrow Just Reunited For The 2020 Emmy Awards

“We’ve been roommates since 1994"

While we may be eagerly waiting for the cast of Friends to reunite for the first time since the series left our screens in their HBO Max special, three of its original cast have taken to the (virtual) Emmy Awards stage.

Jennifer Aniston, a nominee this year for her role in The Morning Show, appeared earlier in the night alongside host Jimmy Kimmel in his opening skit. At the end of the segment, the late night host told Aniston to head home before her category (Best Actress In A Drama Series) was announced. Hours later, the host of the night checked in with the actress – who revealed she was spending the night with former co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow.

Courteney said, “We live together,” after Jimmy questioned why she was there. Jen jokingly added, “We’ve been roommates since 1994.”

Earlier this year it was announced the entire cast of the iconic sitcom – including Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc – would be reuniting for a special reunion with HBO Max.

The news comes 15 years after the small screen’s most beloved friends left our screens for good (bar our rerun-after-rerun weekend sessions, of course). The highly-anticipated episode, set to be filmed at the Warner Bros. Studio lot in California (where the show was originally shot) will mark the first time all six members have been at a public event together since 2004.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the famous cast will also appear alongside show creators, David Crane and Marta Kauffman.

However, like many things in 2020 the unscripted series has been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The streaming service has not yet announced a release date.
