Frontier Touring Shares Statement On Ed Sheeran’s Australian Tour

Following Sheeran's tour cancelation news

Australian Ed Sheeran fans may be in luck.

Following on from the singer’s announcement that he has been forced to cancel world tour dates due to an injury, his Australian tour promoter have released their own statement.

“As the Australia and New Zealand leg of Ed Sheeran’s tour does not commence until March 2018, we have no reason to believe that the shows here will be affected,” the statement from Frontier Touring read.

“We’re sure by March Ed will be fighting fit and incredibly excited about having the use of both his arms again. Rest up Ed – no more bicycles for you!”

Ive had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news. Ed x

The 26-year-old singer was forced to cancel dates from his tour after suffering two breaks, one in his right wrist and the other in his left elbow.

A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future. Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details. PS – Ed isn’t typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged.

There are reports that the injuries were caused when Sheeran was hit by a car when riding his bike through London.

Here’s hoping for speedy recovery, Ed!
