Georgia May Jagger And Jerry Hall On Their Unconditional Mother/Daughter Love

The two share a sense of style and an unmissable graceā€¦and an unbreakable bond.

There’s no denying that Georgia May Jagger is one of the most recognisable faces in the world right now.

Not only does she bear her rockstar father’s famous last name (and signature pout), but she carries the style and grace of her mother, Jerry Hall, one of the most influential and sought-after models of the 1970s.

But while the mother-daughter duo has cemented their place among the fashion elite, the pair are surprisingly down to earth, sharing an unbreakable bond, which they’re celebrating this year with Pandora.

“Our relationship has always been great,” Jagger tells marie claire Australia.

“There were a few teenage years where I was a bit more moody, but we have always had a very close relationship where I tell her everything.”

“She’s so much fun and so loving,” Hall adds of her 30-year-old daughter.

Life Lessons

Not only has her mother paved the way on the runway, but Hall has passed down some important life advice that Jagger swears by.

“[She taught me] to not judge people because you never know the battle they are fighting,” she says.

And while she says her mum “only gives good advice”, it doesn’t mean they agree on everything.

“She hates when I wear some of my favourite trainers!” Jagger adds.

But the lessons go both ways, with Hall sharing motherhood changed her for the better.

“Once I had children, I appreciated my own mother so much,” she says.

“I thought it was the most wonderful experience of my life and wanted more. Motherhood makes me feel proud and see the interconnectedness of the world.”

Celebrating In Style

Mother’s Day has been a firm favourite celebration for the duo, with the family always making time for each other.

“One year we spelled out [mum’s] name in the back garden in roses, so she woke up and saw it on Mother’s Day,” Jagger shares.

“We had to be really sneaky and hide all the flowers the day before so she wouldn’t know what we were up to.”

This year, Jagger is marking the memorable moments with Pandora, gifting her mum jewellery to remember their special and very personal bond.

Her favourite? The Pandora Moments Infinity Knot Snake Chain Bracelet, symbolising the everlasting bonds between family.

“I have always loved the infinity symbol,” says Jagger.

“The Infinity Knot Bracelet… is so beautiful yet simple, and me and my mother both wear them so it reminds me of her.”

The Pandora Mother’s Day collection also features new encircled designs (like the Family Always Encircled Hoop Earrings and Pendant Necklace), designed to celebrate the unconditional love between mother and child, with the knot representing a connection a cannot be broken.

And, if you’re mum is a bit like Hall (who, according to Jagger, has a “more is more” approach to jewellery and loves to “layer bracelets and rings together and mix rose gold with silver”), the collection also features two-tone charms with hand-written messages to show her how much you care.

The Greatest Gift

Hall says she treasures the jewellery given to her by her daughter over the years—“when I wear it, it reminds me I am appreciated by my children”—but there is one gift she can’t wait to receive.

“I look forward to Georgia becoming a mother,” she says.

“She will be a great mum.”

And for Jagger, there’s one important lesson passed down from her mum she’s guaranteed to apply to her own journey of motherhood.

“Life has its ups and downs and different chapters, and you have to roll with the punches and make hay while the sun shines,” she says.

“Always see your glass as half full and not half empty.”
