Gwyneth Paltrow is never one to do things the expected way, and her most recent Goop event is surprisingly no different. Ditching the typical dress codes, Paltrow hosted a party with decidedly different rules: no makeup.

The 47-year-old actress and entrepreneur threw a makeup-free dinner party in Los Angeles, with guests Demi Moore, Kate Hudson and Rumer Willis. Guests were encouraged not to wear makeup for the night, and Paltrow called the evening “A beautiful gathering in celebration of beauty just the way we come.”
“No make up, no filter,” Paltrow captioned a series of photos from the night. “An amazing gathering of some of the best women on planet earth #goopglow”
Before the event, guests received the three-piece Goop Glow starter kit — which comes with a five-pack of skin-supporting ingestible powder supplements, an overnight peel and body luminiser — to get their skin looking and feeling great.
Guests dined on a Goop-approved menu featuring antioxidant-boosting plates beneficial for skin and gut health like greens with a tarragon dressing and salmon steak with kale. In between courses, Chinese medicine practitioner Laura Erlich offered ear-seed treatments to target stress, sleep, and anxiety.
Also in attendance was artist Alexandra Grant, who is dating actor Keanu Reeves. Paltrow revealed that she interviewed Grant and called her “one of THE most brilliant, expansive, talented thinkers I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with.”
Moore also took to her Instagram to celebrate the evening, writing: “What an incredible night makeup-free with these extraordinary women. I feel so nourished and full of joy. Thank YOU both for sharing your light, love and wisdom! Beauty is more than what you see, it is what you feel. So grateful to be included in such a powerful, memorable and meaningful evening! #goopglow”
Paltrow’s Instagram stories also revealed guests received goodie bags full of Goop products.
