Gwyneth Paltrow’s Slow Walk Onto The Emmys Stage Is Now A Meme

And the award for 2019’s most unforgettable Emmys moment goes to...

Gwyneth Paltrow is no stranger to being the most talked-about celeb, from that time she said she lets bees sting her to fade scars and reduce skin inflammation to her claim that underwires in bras could be linked to breast cancer.

But this time, it’s not what she said that has the Internet buzzing. It was her slow walk onto the Emmys stage last night when she presented the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Thanks to the snug skirt on her vintage 1963 Valentino Haute Couture gown, she had to daintily shuffle across the stage. Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’ played in the background, which proved to be the perfect soundtrack to sum up the vibe she had going on.

Her strut was an entire mood and the Internet wasn’t about to let this moment pass without a meme-off.

Shedding a little light on why Gwyneth had to shimmy her way across the stage, her stylist Elizabeth Saltzman told The Hollywood Reporter, “That’s because in 1963 there were no back slits! It was not that she was having this fabulous walk, which she already has. In order to keep the dress authentic, I didn’t want to change Mr. Valentino’s design.”
