While Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter Apple Martin is best known for roasting her mum (in particular, her Goop tendencies), she’s put that on hold to celebrate a major milestone this week.
Taking to Instagram to celebrate her daughter’s 17th birthday, the 48-year-old actress posted a sweet picture of her grown-up, lookalike daughter sitting by the ocean, with beachy waves and bright pink nails alongside a heartfelt message.
“Can it be? 17 today?? My sweetest girl… You make me belly laugh every day. You are brilliant and hardworking. You are fully YOU which I respect and admire so much. I wish I had had even a spoonful of the self-acceptance you have when I was your age. You are so inspiring and just so cool. I remember the morning you came into the world so perfectly, I just can’t believe it was 17 years ago. Happy birthday, my angel,” Paltrow wrote.
It’s not the first time the mother-daughter duo has gotten sentimental on social media. On Mother’s Day last week, Apple took to Instagram to share a sweet shout-out to her mum.
“Happy Mother’s Day, I love u,” the 16-year-old shared on her Instagram Story, which Paltrow shared on her own account, captioning, “I love a good snuggle with you. Happy Mother’s Day.”
Paltrow shares Apple and 15-year-old son Moses with ex Chris Martin, and she regularly uses her Instagram platform to share sweet glimpses into their lives.
