Having recently announced that Goop’s in-house brand, G. Label, plans to extend its products to include a six-piece jewellery collection, the 48-year-old actress opened up about how Martin inspired the collection.
“She was a big inspiration for this collection and helped me refine the designs, I named the pieces after her and her best friends,” Paltrow explained.
“She’ll definitely be ‘borrowing’ her namesake earrings.”
The jewellery in question are the ‘Apple’ earrings, which tally up to a whopping AUD $1872.63, and are made up of a front-facing 14-karat gold hoop, paired with a delicate chain down the middle, alongside interlocking gold and pavé diamond rings.
As per the Goop website, Apple’s namesake sparklers are “undeniably cool,” “incredibly versatile,” and “the kind of outfit-finishers you can wear with everything from casual tees to black tie.”
For Paltrow fans, it’s not a surprise that Martin has become Goop’s poster child. Back in April, she enlisted the help of her daughter in Goop’s first TikTok, promoting their new line of skincare.
And in typical mother-daughter fashion, Martin made sure to make fun of her mother’s controversial lifestyle-including her obsession with products for ‘down there’.
Back to the rest of the jewellery collection, Paltrow took to Instagram to explain her enjoyment around investing in expensive jewellery, giving it life outside of what society deems as acceptable.
“One of the reasons I love jewellery so much is because it’s so expressive. How you mix and match it says so much about your state of mind and what’s inspiring you in that moment. I don’t differentiate between day and night,”
She continued: “If I invest in a great piece of jewellery, I’m going to wear it all the time: I’ll sleep in it, wear it on the red carpet, and pick up [my son] Moses from school in it.”
And while, yes, sporting the finest jewels at any hour of the day may seem aspirational, Paltrow ensured that G. Label’s entire collection included pieces that can be styled with anything and at any time of the day, making the investment worth the price paid.
“I’m into layering various designers, but to do that well, you need a foundation that goes with everything. That’s what we set out to create with the G. Label Jewellery Collection,” she wrote.
