Masked Men Invade Home And Threaten Sydney Family On Halloween

An 18-year-old has spoken out about the terrifying experience

A Sydney family were the victims of a terrifying home invasion on the night of Halloween on Tuesday.

Four armed men in masks and costumes knocked on the door of a Belmore home, initially pretending to trick-or-treat, AAP reports.

Brandishing a firearm and a metal pole, the men forced entry into the home at around 10pm.

Two sisters aged 15 and 18, and two grandparents were reportedly tied up with television cables while the men ransacked the house.

The 18-year-old told The Daily Telegraph one man held them at gunpoint while the others searched the house for money and possibly drugs.

“He would point the gun at me and would threaten me saying ‘I’ll shoot you if you don’t tell me”,’ she recounted.

“I said I honestly don’t know where it is.”

She explained the men might have had the wrong address.

“They tied us up when they realised they had the wrong house,” the 18-year-old said.

“They said ‘we must have got the wrong house’ because they were trying to find Buddhists and we are Christians.”

Detectives have been conducting interviews on the street today.
