According to Broadway World, producers of Hamilton Jeffrey Seller and Michael Cassel have confirmed that a $10 ticket lottery will be available for the first Australian performance at the Sydney Lyric Theatre from 17 March 2021.
The lottery is via TodayTix, and will start at 12.01am Friday 5 March. The lottery will run until 1.00pm Thursday 11 March and will be for tickets to performances between 17 - 21 March.
There will be more digital lotteries, with new ones starting each Friday and closing the following Thursday for the upcoming week's performances.
"25 years ago when I produced Rent, I introduced an in-person Broadway ticket lottery program whose goal was to provide affordable and accessible tickets," producer Jeffrey Seller told Broadway World.
"I am proud that every show I have produced has continued that same tradition. Hamilton in Sydney is no different. I am thrilled that the Hamilton digital lottery will be available to Australian audiences."
