The ‘Happy Days’ Cast Share Heartfelt Tributes Following Erin Moran’s Death

The actress died on Saturday, aged 56.

Popular child actress Erin Moran, best known for her role as Joanie Cunningham on the 1970’s show Happy Days, has passed away, at just 56. 

Emergency services in Corydon, Indiana were called to the scene for an unresponsive female at around 4pm on Saturday the 22nd, CBS reports.

“Upon the arrival, it was determined that the female was Erin Marie Moran-Fleischmann. First responders determined that she was deceased and an autopsy is pending,” the department said.

Further details surrounding Moran’s death haven’t yet been released and an autopsy is pending. 

On Happy Days, Erin played the younger sister of Richie Cunningham, played by the now famed director Ron Howard. 

Howard shared a heartfelt tribute to his co-star on Twitter, saying “I’ll always choose to remember you on our show making scenes better, getting laughs and lighting up tv screens.”

Other members of the Happy Days cast also shared messages, upon hearing about the star’s untimely death.
