Harvey Weinstein, Alleged Rapist, Wants Praise For Casting Women In Films

Is this... a joke?

Despite over 80 women accusing Harvey Weinstein of decades of sexual assault and harassment, the disgraced film producer is more worried about articles suggesting his walking cane may not be necessary after he was seen using it to get to and from court but walking without assistance later that night.

The negative press about that – rather than the multiple rape and assault allegations, prompted Weinstein to do his first interview in over a year, during which he said he should be praised for his work with women, rather than remembered for allegedly assaulting them, making them sign intense NDAs, and for some, hiring undercover agents to dig up dirt to ruin their lives and careers.

Speaking to The Post from his hospital room, Weinstein, whose name has likely never been used more in his entire life than it has been in the past two years, said: “I feel like the forgotten man.”

“I made more movies directed by women and about women than any filmmaker, and I’m talking about 30 years ago. I’m not talking about now when it’s vogue. I did it first! I pioneered it!” the 67-year-old alleged rapist continued.

“It all got eviscerated because of what happened. My work has been forgotten.’’

In response to his interview, 23 women who have accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual misconduct said he is “trying to gaslight society again.”

“He says in a new interview he doesn’t want to be forgotten,” the women’s statement said. “Well, he won’t be. He will be remembered as a sexual predator and an unrepentant abuser who took everything and deserves nothing.”

“He will be remembered by the collective will of countless women who stood up and said enough. We refuse to let this predator rewrite his legacy of abuse.”
