Hayden Panettiere, 26, has recently opened up on Twitter about her struggle with postnatal depression. The Nashville star admitted that she was taking 'time to reflect', and she sent out a Tweet explaining her situation.
She said "The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life. Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!”
She gave birth to her daughter Kaya Evdokia in December 2014, however attended rehab in October last year for her postpartum depression.
She has previously opened up to People about breaking down the stigma surrounding postpartum depression.
“The biggest message that I’ve been trying to promote for women is that it’s okay to ask for help,” Hayden said earlier this year. “You feel mommy guilt — it’s for real.”
Even earlier in the year, Hayden opened up at the Critics' Choice Awards about how people getting behind her has been so helpful.
” I’m 26 years old. I’m a mom. I don’t need to be afraid of what people are going to think. I saw how much people rallied behind me when I was honest, and I didn’t know that honesty could be such a gift.”
We wish Hayden all the best on her journey, and hope she feels better soon.
