Haute Handbags And Chic Separates Ruled The Hermès Runway

Effortless elegance in Paris

The Hermès spring/summer 2021 collection befits the woman we want to be: put-together, polished and primed to take on the world.

The heritage house showed to a select audience at the Tennis Club de Paris on Saturday, with artistic director Pierre-Alexis Dumas dubbing “innovation” the theme of the season.

There were butter-soft leather shirts and crisp blouses, streamlined bomber jackets worn with neat bralettes, plus creamy clogs that proved anything but clunky. The palette was restrained but feminine—a lush melange of caramel, dove grey, sky blue and crimson.

As expected, luxury leather goods were a stand-out. Two new bags joined the house’s lust-worthy line-up, including the Perspective Cavalière, an asymmetrical bucket bag destined to become a classic.
