Hilary Duff’s New Haircut Is The Epitome Of French-Girl Chic

Oh là là

When it comes to defining french-girl hair, you can’t go past classic curtain bangs.

The look – which was championed by the iconic Brigitte Bardot – is effortlessly cool and suits a myriad of style tribes. Whether you’re into bohemian glamour like Jeanne Damas or you’re more effortless – a la cool-girl Alex Chung – at home in vintage tees, these sweeping strands will be your jam.

Just ask, Hilary Duff. The Younger star took to Instagram to debut her “fly 70s summer bangers” courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Nikki Lee.

The subtle transformation gives off a retro vibe that works best on rectangle or oval shapes — make sure your hairdresser trims your curtain bangs to be shorter in the middle, graduating to a longer, sweeping length at the sides.
