Since everything old is obviously new again, Disney Channel has announced it will be remaking the 1993 cult classic Hocus Pocus.
Reimagined as a TV movie, Hocus Pocus will sadly not see icons Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy reprise their roles, nor will original director Kenny Ortega have a hand in the magic.
Instead, the film will star a new cast, with a script from The Royals' Scarlett Lacey, Vanity Fair reports.
The original Hocus Pocus told the story of three witches who are accidentally resurrected by a teenager in witch-hot spot Salem, Massachusetts.
We’re still wondering which new actresses will take on the memorable roles—and if the film will ever live up to the original. But in the meantime, keep calm!
