The unnamed assistant said Spacey then approached him while they were in a trailer and inappropriately propositioned him.
"I told him, 'I don't think I'm ok with this, I don't think I'm comfortable with this,'" the production assistant said.
Other allegations from the House of Cards employees—past and present—include "non-consensual touching" and "crude comments", the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
In a statement to CNN, Netflix explained that the company was “just made aware of one incident, five years ago, that we were informed was resolved swiftly.”
“On Tuesday, in collaboration with MRC, we suspended production, knowing that Kevin Spacey wasn’t scheduled to work until Wednesday,” the statement continues.
“Netflix is not aware of any other incidents involving Kevin Spacey on-set”.
This week the streaming giant announced that season six will be the last installment of House of Cards.
