1."I try and stay fit and toned throughout my pregnancies by doing Great Expectations exercise classes and clinical pilates. These classes are safe and guided by a women’s health physiotherapist but best of all, you may even be able to claim them if you have private health insurance. I usually go twice a week. Check with your Obstetrician before signing up."
2. "Fibre, fibre, fibre! Increased progesterone levels in pregnancy really slow down your digestive system leaving you feeling extra bloated and sluggish. It’s important to keep things moving so I am a Metamucil addict when pregnant. I add it to my smoothies in the morning with a teaspoon of chia for an extra fibre hit. I also try to increase my water, fresh fruit and muesli intake as well."
3. "Never, ever, take any medications, vitamins or supplements without checking first with your health care professional. As mothers to be, we must be so careful not to harm our precious cargo. And that’s the most important thing of all."
