The Russian model, who was dating Cooper for four years and shares a two-year-old daughter with him, shared a refreshingly honest insight in a new interview with British Vogue on the couples decision to split last year.
โI think in all good relationships you bring your best and your worstโitโs just the nature of a human being,โ Shayk told the magazine.
โTwo great people donโt have to make a good couple.โ

Shayk and Cooperโs relationship was the victim of intense scrutiny over the last year, during the nonstop press tour of Cooperโs hit film A Star Is Born. Fans and media alike were suspicious to Cooper and Gagaโs undeniable on-screen and sometimes off-screen chemistry.
Although Shayk didnโt mention the rumours in her interview, she did speak highly of her relationship with Cooper, who she still affectionately calls โB.โ
โI think weโve been very lucky to experience what we had with each other,โ continued the model. โLife without B is new ground.โ
The model also spoke openly about the hardships of single motherhood, disclosing that sheโs found it difficult โto find a balance between being a single mom and being a working woman and provider.โ
โTrust me, there are days I wake up and Iโm like, โOh my god, I donโt know what to do, Iโm falling apart.'โ
