Over the weekend, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle confirmed the exact date of their royal wedding.

A statement by the palace revealed the pair are set to be wed on May 19th 2018 at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Palace.

Following the announcement, Ivanka Trump tweeted a message of congratulations, writing: “Wishing Meghan and Prince Harry a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness together.”

“I have no doubt that this couple will do extraordinary things, both individually and collectively,” she continued. “Congratulations!”

Though there’s no denying Ivanka’s message was kind, many Twitter users called the First Daughter out, saying they thought she was trying to secure herself an invite to the royal wedding.

“It’s so transparent that you’re practically begging for a royal wedding invite,” one user wrote.

“So desperate,” said another.

Whether or not the First Family will be invited to the May nuptials, only time will tell. Given their friendly relationship, the Obamas will likely attend.

Now for the real question: Can we please come?
