Fans of Selling Sunset are hell-bent on two things: Binge-watching it as quickly as possible (is there any other way?) and catching up on Jason Oppenheim and Chrishelle’s Stause’s love lives.
The latter was most relevant in 2021 when Oppenheim and Sunset co-star Chrishell Stause began dating. Fans were in a full-blown orbit from the moment they went Instagram official in July, with even the smallest updates, anecdotes and sightings thrilling fans until their relationship came to an end in December.
At the time, Oppenheim alluded to an amicable break-up, telling his followers that Stause was “one of the best things” that ever happened to him.
“While Chrishell and I are no longer together, we remain best friends and we will always love and support one another. She was the most amazing girlfriend I’ve ever had, and it was the happiest and most fulfilling relationship of my life.”
While the reasons for their break-up weren’t super clear, Stause did say back in October 2021 that the pair “weren’t each other’s types”.
“He’s always been a very proud bachelor. That’s the opposite of what I’m looking for. He always dated these young blonde models. We just were not each other’s types.”
In April 2022, the release of Selling Sunset season five covered their five month relationship, and the real reason for their breakup was eventually revealed—Stause’s desire to have children was not reciprocated by Oppenheim.
Despite their relationship having run its course, the pair remained on good terms—which brings us to our next question.
Does Jason Oppenheim have a girlfriend?
Several months on from his breakup, it looks like Oppenheim is dating once again. In July 2022, he was spotted holidaying in Greece with a mystery woman. In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Oppenheim and the woman were seen kissing and cuddling while shopping in Mykonos.
And it turns out, Oppenheim are the mystery blonde are still going strong, with the pair making their red carpet debut in August 2022. Walking hand-in-hand down the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Day Shift, Oppenheim made his relationship with French model Marie-Lou official—even teasing that she might make an appearance in Selling Sunset season 6.
“I hope so. We’re talking about it,” Oppenheim told Entertainment Tonight, before Marie-Lou added, “Yes, like a little scene”.
While their relationship was initially reported on as being nothing more than a holiday fling, a source told the outlet that the couple were “trying to keep things private”.
“He is happy and doing well,” the source added.
Until now, it seemed Oppenheim had taken a break from dating (at least publicly), especially after admitting that he had “rough” time with his split from Stause. To cement that position, Oppenheim even went so far as to gush about Stause in an interview with Us Weekly in April.
“I love her still. I always will. She’s a great woman so there’s just a lot of loss there.”
He added of the breakup: “It’s far more difficult than I thought and it’s gonna take a lot longer than I thought.”
Oppenheim’s co-stars also commented on how loved up he was with Stause, commenting that she was a “game-changer,” for the high-profile broker.
All the while, Stause has also moved on with Australian musician G-Flip. The pair have been spotted multiple times out and about together, and often share their ventures on social media.
It looks like alls well that ends well for the Sunset stars.
