Jen and Brad, who met in 1998 after being set up on a blind date by their agents, were married for five years before going public with their split, reportedly blaming it on conflicting work schedules and disagreements over having children.
But the persistent reports of an affair between Brad and Angelina remained, and before Jen had even filed for divorce, the two were spotted on holiday together.
Jen then filed for divorce in March 2005 citing "irreconcilable differences" and just four months later Brad and Ange appeared in a photo shoot titled "Domestic Bliss" - a concept which was created by the man himself.
I mean, seriously.
The images, which depicted the two as a happy couple, were taken in March, prompting a heartbroken Jen to tell Vanity Fair, "there's a sensitivity chip that's missing."
Fast-forward 12 years and Brad and Ange announced their divorce, with Brad admitting to substance abuse and even an investigation into whether he had been physically violent towards one of his children.
One year later, Jen and her husband of two years, Justin Theroux, announced their unexpected split. One minute went by before the world started prompting Jen to get back with her cheating ex-husband, Brad Pitt.
Brad, who very publically left Jen for another woman, who had no regard for how his new relationship would make his partner of seven years feel, who went on to become addicted to alcohol and be investigated for violence against his teenage son.
That's who we're hoping Jen gets back with? Really? C'mon people.
I was already fired up enough about these pro-Brad and Jen comments before I went back and re-read Jen's first post-divorce Vanity Fair interview.
Now, after being reminded that she burst into tears twice during it, while the whole time trying to stay diplomatic, I am firmly back to my 2006 #TeamJen self.
Though Jen, the living angel, refused to bag Brad, even she couldn't give a concrete answer to whether her husband had cheated on her. "When I ask Aniston about [the rumour that Angelina is pregnant with Brad's child], she looks as if I’ve stabbed her in the heart," the article reads.
"Her eyes well up and spill over. Several long minutes go by as the tears keep rolling down her cheeks; she bites her lip, seemingly unable to speak. Finally, she shakes her head; this subject is simply too excruciating to discuss."
Aside from how horribly Brad treated Jen throughout their divorce, the fact that he now comes with a whole lot of baggage, and the fact that Jen had him in his golden years (seriously, why would you take the older, alcoholic version?), let's not forget the wise words of Rachel Green's mum: "Once a cheater, always a cheater."
