Jennifer Aniston Just Made A Case For Being Friends With An Ex, Saying Her And Brad Pitt Are Still ‘Buddies’

She really is the best.

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are the Hollywood exes we just can’t stop obsessing over. They may have split up in 2005, but 16 years on we’re all still holding out hope for a reunion.

Back in January of last year, the pair almost broke the internet when they reunited backstage at the 2020 SAG Awards. The photo of Brad holding onto Jen’s arm with a loving look in his eye was almost too much to bear, and had all us wondering if a recoupling could potentially be on the cards.

Now, Jen has revealed that her and Brad are definitely still “buddies,” in a recent radio interview with US host Howard Stern.

The former couple reunited for a special, live table reading of the 1982 film Fast Times At Ridgemont High. And, according to People, Aniston had a really great time. She and Pitt played romantic interests in the star-studded reading, with seemingly no awkwardness at all.

“We speak, and there’s no oddness at all, except for everyone that probably watched it and was wanting there to be, or assumed there to be,” Aniston said.

Aniston was married to Pitt from 2000-2005. The friendly exes have since kept in touch, with Pitt even attending Aniston’s Birthday party in 2019. It was also announced in 2019 that Jen was very much back on the dating scene, sparking rumours of a potential rekindling. To everyone’s disappointment, however, no official confirmation ever came.

Speaking to People about the likelihood of getting married again, Aniston says it’s probably not on the cards.

“Oh God, I don’t know. It’s not on my radar. I’m interested in finding a fantastic partner and just living an enjoyable life and having fun with one another. That’s all we should hope for. It doesn’t have to be etched in stone in legal documents,” she said.

And, despite the fact that we’re living in the era of online dating, Jen says it’s absolutely not for her.

“Absolutely no,” she replied, when asked if she would ever try it.

I’m going to just stick to the normal ways of dating. Having someone ask you out. That’s the way I would prefer it.”
