Jennifer Aniston Keen For A ‘Friends’ Reboot But There’s One Friend Holding It back

But if it doesn’t work out she’s got another idea

While there are so many of our beloved shows from yesteryear being rebooted at the moment – there’s one, above all, that we’re dying for: Friends.

And speaking in a new interview, it seems Jennifer Aniston is just as keen as we are.

“Before that show ended, people were asking if we were coming back,” she told InStyle US. “Courteney [Cox] and Lisa [Kudrow] and I talk about it.”

We like to imagine that still looks a little something like:

“I fantasise about it. It really was the greatest job I ever had. I don’t know what it would look like today, but you never know. So many shows are being successfully rebooted.

She did admit though that while the girls seem keen, the guys – not so much. Apparently, Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey, would need some convincing.

“[Matt] doesn’t want to be asked that question anymore. But maybe we could talk him into it.”

However, Matthew Perry and Lisa Kudrow have both expressed concerns over a Friends reboot..

“I have this nightmare that we do Friends again and nobody cares,” Perry told Variety last year. “We do a whole series, we come back, and nobody cares about it.”

While Lisa isn’t sure how the story would work. “The thing we liked best about the show was that they were 20-somethings and they were their own family,” she told the Today Show last February. “Now, they all have families, so what are we going to watch?”

Yep, that. We’ll watch that.

Friends

But failing a Friends reboot, Jen says she’s got a pretty good alternative…

“Or we just give it some time and then Lisa, Courteney, and I could reboot The Golden Girls and spend our last years together on wicker furniture,” she joked.

We’ll take one of each, please.
