After the mixed reception of psychological horror flick Mother!, Lawrence will feature in the upcoming spy thriller Red Sparrow.
In a new trailer for the film, released this week, J.Law stars as prima ballerina Dominika Egorova, who is recruited to the top-secret Russian assassin-training facility, Sparrow School.
A male voiceover explains: “When I was in Moscow, I heard about a program of young officers trained to seduce and manipulate. To use their bodies. To use everything. They call them sparrows. That’s what she is.”
As Deadline reports, the film reunites Lawrence with director Francis Lawrence—who helmed the last three Hunger Games films. It also stars Australian favourite Joel Edgerton, plus Charlotte Rampling, Mary-Louise Parker and Jeremy Irons.
Red Sparrow hits cinemas in the on March 1, 2018.
