The duo first started dating in February 2017, Entertainment Tonight reports. Rodriguez even teased his proposal with a telling quote in his Instagram Story yesterday that read: "A soulmate isn't someone who completes you. No, a soulmate is someone who inspires you to complete yourself. A soulmate is someone who loves you with so much conviction, and so much heart, that it is nearly impossible to doubt just how capable you are of becoming exactly who you have always wanted to be."
Back in 2018, Lopez told Harper's BAZAAR opened up about the possibility of marring Rodriguez. "I do believe in marriage. And I would love to grow old with somebody in a committed relationship. But I’m not forcing anything right now," she told the magazine at the time.
"It’s good, it’s healthy; we communicate well," she added of her relationship with Rodriguez. "We understand each other’s lives in a way that most other people couldn’t. We both entered the public eye in our early 20s and overachieved right from the start. And that affects every dynamic in your life, from your family to your work to your relationships. We have a similar makeup."
The singer and actress has previously been married to Ojani Noa (1997-1998), Cris Judd (2001-2002), and Marc Antony (2004-2014), whom she shares two kids with/ She was also engaged to Ben Affleck from 2002 to 2004.
Rodriguez was previously married to Cynthia Scurtis from 2002 to 2008. They have two daughters together.
