Jennifer Lopez’s 12-Year-Old Daughter Just Entered The World Of Publishing With The Release Of Her First Book

Emme's debut book, 'Lord Help Me', is about the "power of prayer"

Singing on the world-stage at the Super Bowl, starring in a fashion campaign for one of the world’s most prestigious fashion houses and now and now releasing her own book, are not accomplishments many can add to their resume, but that’s exactly what Jennifer Lopez’s 12-year-old daughter Emme Maribel Muñiz is celebrating this week with the release of her debut book, Lord Help Me.

The picture-book, published by Random House, was released on September 29 in both English and Spanish and is targeted to readers aged three to seven-years-old.

Speaking to PeopleEmme—whom Lopez shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony—revealed the book is about the “power of prayer” which has been a part of her life since she was five-years-old.

Emme’s children’s book also incorporates her love of animals, mainly sloths, as well as aims to raise awareness about animal extinction with illustrations by Brenda Figueroa.

“In school, I learned about sloths and how they’re facing extinction, so I began to pray for them in my nightly prayers,” she said in a statement. “I wrote this book to help raise money to save sloths while also teaching other children how we can pray and ask for help—two things that bring me a lot of comfort.”
