“[Ginsburg] was like, ‘An unkind word, people are not perfect, sometimes you just have to let it go’,” the Hustlers actress said.
Lopez continued, sharing that the couple will reference Ginsburg’s advice when they’re work schedules get out of control, encouraging each other to ‘stay calm’ during the busy period.
“When everything gets crazy, or people get out of control, when there’s heightened emotions, don’t go there with people,” Lopez said. “Just stay calm.”
Ginsburg – who was married to her husband Marty for over 50 years before he passed away in 2010 – opened up about her meeting with Lopez and Rodriguez when she was speaking at the 2019 Library Congress National Book Festival in Washington.
“She mostly wanted to ask if I had any secret about a happy marriage,” Ginsburg stated.
“But now A-Rod is travelling with her to concerts all over the world.”
The couple announced their engagement after two years of dating in March, during a trip to the Bahamas. Lopez and Rodriguez are yet to reveal when they plan on tying the knot, and according to the popstar, they probably never will.
“I just think certain things have to be sacred and be protected, and you have to be careful and delicate,” she told CBS, adding “and it’s not just me, it’s another person, it’s our kids, it’s our family — and I learned that along the way.”
