While obtaining frizz-free curls in the depths of humidity may sound like an urban hair myth, it’s certainly not one Jennifer Lopez has to contend with—particularly if her spectacular mane in her Super Bowl Halftime performance is anything to go by.
And while it’s no secret that the star enjoys hair extensions, especially for the stage, Lopez’s hairstylist Chris Appleton also has a go-to product for getting her lengthy locks performance-ready with maximum ‘flippability’ (see video at the top of the article for indisputable evidence).

Prior to styling the singer’s tresses with not one but two different-sized curling irons and a hair dryer, Appleton applied the $57 Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray to Lopez’s hair, a cult-beauty product that has a devout following stateside.
Formulated with advanced heat-activated polymers, the spray works to fight humidity and create a silky, shiny finish that lasts for up to 72 hours or two or three washes.
Essentially, the product functions as a serum with a sealant effect to “put a protective waterproof layer on top of the hair”, Appleton revealed.
