What’s your advice for beauty prep for the festive season? What are your non-negotiable at-home beauty rituals and what are your favourite in-salon treatments?
Festive season means warmer weather and Christmas parties, all the indulging in extra champagne and delicious food means it’s even more important to look after your skin. Particularly, by increasing hydration and ensuring you don’t skip your nightly beauty regime or sleep in your make up because you’ve had a late night. My top tip is to stay diligent with your routine and your skin will love you for it!
My favourite at-home beauty ritual is a bath on Sunday night and a sheet mask, my go-to is the new Skinfusion Camellia Mask from Olay which has the magic ingredient niacinamide, for an instant hydration hit. My skin always feels dewy and refreshed afterwards. I think it's important to take time to yourself, switch off your phone, read a book and have some quality time with yourself. It's also nice to feel pampered and take extra time to apply skin and body treatments.
My favourite in-salon treatment would have to be getting my hair washed at the salon and also a lymphatic facial, a treatment I’ve only recently discovered! It’s perfect while I am pregnant with all of the fluid retention.
What are your favourite festive season beauty trends this year?
I think it’s nice to keep it fresh and natural. Don’t wear too much makeup. Instead, use it to enhance your favourite features rather than applying anything too thick or heavy. I am also not a fan of dark spay tans, keep it natural and wear a body gloss instead. My favourite festive beauty trend would be glowy, dewy skin with a slick of bronzer, a hero eye shadow and nude, glossy lips.
What are your favourite beauty products for the festive season?
I am all about good skin; radiant skin is always such a big tick when it comes to beauty, so I always ensure I take good care of my skin no matter what month of the year it is. All good beauty looks start with your skin, so keep it fresh and radiant as it is the base of every great makeup look.
Hydrating is a must during the silly season, so my go-to products are a leave-on face mask and always a good night moisturiser. When I am looking for deeper hydration, I turn to the Olay Magnemask Hydrating Kit with the magnetic fuser, it helps to penetrate the product deep into your skin. I do this for approximately two minutes to ensure each layer of the skin is looked after. It’s quick, easy and perfect for all the late nights during the Christmas period.
What are your favourite beauty gifts for Christmas this year?
Each year I always look for the Olay Christmas Gift Pack that comes out. Currently, my favourite go-to stocking filler is the Olay Regenerist Day and Night Gift Pack which includes everyone’s favourite Regenerist Microsculpting UV Cream SPF 30, Regenerist Microsculpting Cream and the Magnemask Anti-Wrinkle Sheet Mask. This is the perfect gift for a secret Santa present under $50.
Do you have any other advice on surviving the festive season?
Find a balance during the festive season. I think it’s important to be sociable and enjoy the festivities and not be too hard on yourself if you skip a gym class or two but also don’t let all things that make you feel good and healthy slip out of mind out of sight.
