Jessica Biel And Justin Timberlake’s ‘Couple Workouts’ Are Actually Kinda Genius

Much cute, very multitasking

Between them, they’ve got a hit TV show to film (The Sinner), a brand-new album to promote (Man Of The Woods) and a super cute kid to keep out of trouble (three-year-old Silas). So, yeah, we’d totally forgive Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake for letting quality time with each other and their healthy habits slide.

But it turns out Hollywood’s power couple have found the secret to the age-old hectic-schedule-vs-prioritizing-self-care dilemma, and it starts with killing two birds with one stone.

“I actually love mummy-daddy workouts, they’re the best.” Jessica told SELF.

“It doesn’t always happen, but it’s so nice to have a partner when you’re doing a workout. It’s something my husband and I really enjoy doing together – we both are workout enthusiasts. When we can, we make it happen.”

To get the most out of the short amount of time they have, they usually opt for a strength circuit or interval training.

“We’ll work with a trainer and just do different circuits and do different types of cardio training or sprinting, just different things depending on what we’re working on and goals we’re trying to hit at the time,” she explained.

“I’ve definitely been known to be in the gym late night, even 10 or 11 p.m. Sometimes, you just gotta do it and fit it in when you can.”

The pair aims to sweat for at least 20 minutes a day, but when they can, Jess also likes to squeeze in an a.m. yoga sesh to keep her mind and body in check.

“That way I get it out of the way and get it done and have my day starting with clarity and space and time for me,” she said.

And for anyone who’s struggling to fit fitness into their everyday lives (or for those who know that 10 pm workouts aren’t exactly realistic) Jess has a few suggestions: “Either be really kind to yourself and say, ‘I’m missing it today and it’s not the end of the world, but I’m going to make time for myself tomorrow’ or whatever day works for you. Or, pick something you can do it 20 minutes – and know that 20 minutes is better than nothing.”

Bonding AND burning fat in less time than it takes to watch a Bachie ep? Now, that’s multitasking.
